It’s exam time. I have just less than a month to revise before my exam on the nineteenth century novel.
I’m not panicking in the slightest. Normally, I’d be really prepared for an exam, but it’s been a difficult year so I’m less prepared than I would have liked. In all honesty, I’m not really prepared at all!
I still have time. This is what I keep telling myself. On Saturday I am attending a revision class in Leeds, which will help. In the meantime I have put together a plan. This has involved selecting six novels to revise. This should be enough for the exam.
The books are: Middlemarch, Northanger Abbey, The Awakening, Heart of Darkness, Jane Eyre and Madame Bovary. I’ve chosen a variety of books spanning early to late nineteenth century, written in this country and abroad.
The exam is on 7th June. Between now and then, I will have my head in a novel – reading, reading, reading. Wish me luck!
